Please join us at the 'Solutions to Climate Change Community Festival'. It will be a family-friendly community event, organised by Friends of the Earth and the City of Yarra Environment Education Program.
Where: Fitzroy Primary School, Napier St, Fitzroy, Melbourne - Western campus (Johnston St end)
When: Saturday the 7th of October from 2 - 5pm.
The day will feature:
# An Aboriginal welcome and dream time activities for kids
# Music for adults and kids including a performance by Yarra Primary School students
# Lots of games and creative activities for kids - kids and adults bring your bike!
Speakers:
# Josie Lee - talking climate justice and projected local social impacts
# Michaela Stubbs - talking on why Nuclear is not the solution
# Bruce Thompson - Moreland Energy Foundation - solutions to climate change like renewable energy, energy demand management and energy efficiency

# A bike tricks performance
# A tree planting working bee
# A panel session where you can tell us your concerns or ask questions about climate change
# The Energy Explorer Trailer - workshops on solar power for your house and making your home Energy Smart
# Bike maintenance workshops
# Chill out spaces with toys and cushions for toddlers and others
# Food, Fun, Stalls, information and lots more
Lets bring this big issue home, lets learn about it and share our thoughts so we can build our resistance and resilience to climate change for future generations -- and lets have fun at the same time!
