No to Coal: Kingsnorth Power Station Planning Meeting
The meeting will discuss the ludicrous plan to build a coal power station in Kingsnorth, and what can be done to stop MP John Hutton from allowing the plant to be built without a public inquiry. This plant would be a disaster for the environment and Britain’s claim to be a world leader in combatting climate change. We have until the end of April to let the government know just how outraged the UK public is about this.
People & Planet along with WDM and Greenpeace have arranged a London wide planning meeting, during which we will be planning a mass action in Parliament Square followed by a lobby of Parliament on Tuesday 1st April (Fossil Fools Day). The meeting would also be a good time to promote the other actions that are being planned about Kingsnorth or Heathrow.
It will take place at 106 Gordon Gordon, University College London:
