AUST: Opposition says coal protesters 'delusional'

New South Wales Opposition Leader Barry O'Farrell says environmentalists who have set up camp in Newcastle to protest against coal are delusional if they think the state's reliance on coal can end overnight.
Hundreds of people are expected to take part in the six-day Climate Camp in the state's Hunter region.
Protesters are planning a rally and march on Sunday before attempting to 'peacefully' stop coal trains for the day.
Mr O'Farrell says coal needs to be phased out gradually.
"Coal will not finish overnight, coal has a future," he said.
"We're going to earn a billion dollars of coal royalties for the state this year. The coal mines will continue and we will continue for some time to rely on coal-based power industries.
"Everyone understands the need to adjust to climate change, it isn't going to happen overnight, it's unreasonable to expect it to happen overnight and we need to get real about this."
